Dr. Cadavious Jones to Lead Rust College's Nissan-Funded STEM Engagement Program and Innovation Lab

Rust College is set to embark on a transformative journey in STEM education with the upcoming establishment of a cutting-edge STEM lab and faculty development program, generously funded by Nissan Corporation. Under the leadership of Dr. Cadavious Jones, this initiative aims to revolutionize STEM education at Rust College by enhancing facilities and opportunities in critical disciplines such as computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics.

The Rust College Nissan Research and Tinker Lab will serve as the epicenter of innovation, offering upgraded infrastructure, essential software tools like Jamf, and robust resources for faculty and student use. Beyond physical upgrades, the program will include cybersecurity training and certification for faculty, empowering them with the latest skills in cybersecurity.

"This initiative will not only modernize our facilities but also nurture a vibrant community of learning and collaboration," remarked Dr. Cadavious Jones, emphasizing the lab's role in providing academic support, peer networking, and dynamic student engagement.

The program will target a diverse audience, including students from underrepresented backgrounds, faculty members seeking professional development, and STEM professionals keen on advancing their expertise. By investing in this initiative, Nissan Corporation and Rust College will demonstrate their commitment to equipping future generations with the skills to thrive in STEM fields and beyond.
