Dr. Cadavious Jones has been selected as the new MGM BEST Hub Committee Chair and Robotics Competition Director. Reflecting on his appointment, Dr. Jones expressed his gratitude, saying, "I give my deepest appreciation for Dr. Dean's leadership and am excited about the new role and the ability to continue working with him and the rest of the team."

Under Dr. Jones' leadership, the Montgomery BEST, sponsored by Alabama State University, continues to serve middle schools and high schools throughout the central Alabama region. The program provides students with the opportunity to participate in the BEST Robotics program, preparing them for the high-tech world they will enter following high school graduation. The committee comprises local educators and tech enthusiasts dedicated to fostering STEM education.
Montgomery BEST celebrated its inaugural competition in 2019 and is now preparing for its fifth competition. The program's success has been a testament to its impact on student development in STEM fields. Winning schools from the Montgomery BEST competition advance to compete at the regional South’s BEST competition, which encompasses the entire southeast and is hosted by Auburn University in early December. Notably, the MGM Hub is the only hub in the nation housed at an HBCU.
Dr. Jones' leadership is set to drive the program's growth and success in the coming years, further solidifying its role in preparing students for future challenges.
