Global Outreach in Virtual Math Camp Led by Dr. Cadavious Jones

Dr. Cadavious Jones, a respected figure in mathematics education, is set to spearhead an innovative global outreach effort this September. As part of a virtual math camp spanning five countries—Australia, Germany, Japan, Wales, and the United States—Dr. Jones joins other esteemed faculty members in engaging high school students through Zoom sessions.



This initiative marks a significant expansion of traditional math camps, adapting to the challenges posed by Covid-19. Organized by a team of distinguished mathematicians and educators, including Dr. Jones, the camp offers students aged 15 and above a unique opportunity to explore modern mathematical concepts while fostering cultural exchanges across borders.


Sessions will be held over three Saturdays in September, accommodating different time zones to ensure accessibility for participants worldwide. Here is the schedule (using a 24-hour clock):


  • Saturday September 3 (European and Asian students):

  • 09:00 WALES, 10:00 GERMANY, 17:00 JAPAN, 17:30 AUSTRALIA.

  • Saturday September 10 (European and USA students):

  • 09:00 USA (Central), 15:00 WALES, 16:00 GERMANY.

  • Saturday/Friday September 17/16 (Asian and USA students):

  • SATURDAY 09:00 JAPAN, 09:30 AUSTRALIA

  • FRIDAY 19:00 USA (Central)

Each session will feature interactive "Maths Worlds," designed to stimulate curiosity and encourage collaborative learning among students from diverse backgrounds.


Dr. Jones, known for his expertise and dedication to mathematics enrichment, emphasizes the camp's role in nurturing young talents and promoting global collaboration in STEM education.
