Broadening Our Reach: Insights from the 2024 HBCU Engage Conference

The 2024 HBCU Engage conference provided a valuable platform for attendees like Dr. Cadavious M. Jones, Dean of the Division of Science and Mathematics at Rust College, to gain critical insights into advancing research capabilities. A significant focus of the conference was the Researcher Academy, which is dedicated to providing training and technical assistance for researchers.

The Researcher Academy offers a comprehensive support system through the Researcher Workbench, a powerful tool designed to enhance research efficiency and collaboration. Attendees learned about the benefits of peer-to-peer learning, which facilitates the exchange of knowledge and best practices among researchers. Additionally, the conference emphasized the importance of network building, enabling researchers to establish and strengthen connections within the academic community.

By participating in sessions and discussions at the 2024 HBCU Engage conference, Dr. Jones and other attendees are now better equipped to leverage these resources, ultimately contributing to the advancement of research at their respective institutions.
