Dr. Cadavious Jones Leads Alabama State University's "Wear Your Crown" Virtual Conference

Dr. Cadavious M. Jones, chair of the Alabama State University Lyceum Committee directs the inaugural "Wear Your Crown" virtual conference from March 8 to 12. This pioneering event marked ASU's first five-day virtual conference, aiming to empower and uplift women during Women's History Month.



Under Dr. Jones' leadership, the conference featured a diverse array of sessions that explored themes of confidence, respect, optimism, worth, and nobility. Notable highlights included interviews with game-changers like Heidi G. McGowen, discussions on educational insights, and panels on topics ranging from social media's role in economic opportunities to wellness and work-life balance.


The virtual format allowed participants to engage in insightful conversations and gain valuable perspectives from esteemed speakers such as Dr. Cynthia Steele, Azzie Taylor, J.D., Dr. Sheila Austin, and others. Each session underscored the importance of connectivity and empowerment for women in today's digital age.
