Honored as 2020 LSAMP Trailblazer

Dr. Cadavious M. Jones, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Alabama State University, has been selected as one of the LSAMP Trailblazers by the Greater Alabama Black Belt Region Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (GABBR LSAMP). His achievements were highlighted in the 2020 LSAMP Trailblazer's Magazine for Alabama.

Dr. Jones' notable accomplishments include receiving the LSAMP Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship and the SREB Southern Regional Education Board Fellowship. He was honored with the 2014 ASU All-Star Faculty Award and has authored seven publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Jones has also been recognized as the first ASU faculty member to receive a NASA grant for his work with ASU's NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge Engineering Project. In 2018, he contributed to the Australian Mathematics Trust and is a member of the SAMSA-Masamu Program’s Collaborative Research Network in mathematical sciences.
Dr. Jones' selection as a LSAMP Trailblazer underscores his significant contributions to STEM education and research, particularly in advancing opportunities for minority students. His leadership and dedication continue to inspire the next generation of innovators and scholars.
