Dr. Cadavious Jones has initiated the Alabama State University Space Program and will serve as its Project Director. This groundbreaking initiative stems from his dedicated mentorship of the ASUBotics Club and Rover Team, and his governance over ASU’s UAV Center of Excellence.

Dr. Jones expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, "This is a wonderful way to engage students and incorporate practical application of knowledge into what we do while demonstrating our ability to work with partners like NASA." The initiative aims to provide students with hands-on experience and foster innovation in the field of space exploration.
The Alabama State University Space Program will incorporate advanced technologies from UAVs, rocket propulsion and design, and non-terrestrial vehicle design. By merging these cutting-edge disciplines, Dr. Jones aims to create a comprehensive and interdisciplinary learning environment that prepares students for future careers in aerospace and related fields.
Under Dr. Jones' leadership, the program will not only enhance the educational experience for ASU students but also position the university as a key player in the evolving landscape of space technology and exploration. His vision and dedication are set to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers, driving them towards new horizons of excellence.
